Happy Sunday!
I am joining Michelle at Making It As a Middle School Teacher for a Linky on What's Ahead in 2013. There seem to be quite a few Linky Parties out there right now (that's what happens when you get close to December 31 - lot's of parties happen!).
I'll comment on a few of my notes:
- I love the book Stone Fox because I am a dog lover, and last year my third graders couldn't get enough of it! This piece of literature also provided the focus for many lessons. It's an oldie but a goodie!
-I'm slowly working my way to 100 followers - it may be time for a give-a-way. Any suggestions?
-I have moved classrooms a couple of times, and my closets are stuffed with the things I brought, along with the items that were already in the classroom. I just need time to sort through it all.
-I would love to set up a webinar sharing session with the third grade teachers in the other 16 schools in my district. I have done a couple through NSTA, and they are so cool!
-I just started Bruce Springsteen's biography that was written in 2012. I am a big fan of the Boss!
Hope you'll join in on this linky!
Good luck with the closet clutter - I too have a closet that I need to spend some time going through and sorting out!

Link-up parties are so fun! This was my first visit to your blog, I like the colours (and yes, I'm Canadian) ;-) and I especially like how you commented on some of your "previews" to explain a bit more. I should have done that too!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about the webinar sharing session - do you mind if I steal that one as something to try out this year as well? Our district is rather large, and this might be the perfect way to introduce a little more collaboration! I don't know why I've never thought of it before!
To help you get one step closer to 100 followers, I'm now following you!

I love the idea of a grade level webinar! I might have to borrow/steal that idea too...I work in a large district, so it might be a great way to connect. I also love Stone Fox...but I get choked up at the end EVERY TIME.
ReplyDeletePackers vs. Broncos in the Super Bowl? I'm totally in. ;-)

Thanks for stopping by my blog, I am your newest follower! Good luck on your goal, if you need something for your giveaway, I am happy to help!
ReplyDeleteSide note... when my husband was 5, he used to wear jeans, a white Tee and a red handkerchief in his pocket... best part, he would go around telling people, "call me Bruce" HA! All these years later he still loves to rock out to Born in the USA.
